And pain can definitely feel like the right word! Typically a labour of love, getting messaging right is simply a process. And while there's some magic to it, there's also method.
You might have nailed down who your ideal customer is and where to find them. But the real challenge? Getting in the door.

Messaging is succesful when you make your audience care. It needs to spark curiosity, create urgency, and show why your solution is different.
Here are a few small experiments that will give you real-world signals from your ideal customers - fast.
A simple, but often overlooked experiment; Share 3-5 LinkedIn posts about your mission, product and solutions. We don't care about reach, but is your ICP engaging?
Events centred around your value proposition will make your ICP lean in or tune out. What if we made a webinar about our core product, will they recognise the value and sign up?
Identify 15-20 ICPs and ship a direct outreach message with your entry-level offering. Look at response rate and meetings booked. A responsive - even a "not right now" is positive, because it tells us that you and your offering is relevant enough for a response.
